If you charge for PinkyPact Plus through the App Store, Apple also requires the specific clauses noted in section 5. Delete this box and all highlighted notes once the text is final.

1. Agreement

By downloading or using PinkyPact you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use PinkyPact after that means you accept the new version.

Add your legal entity name and address, and the governing law and courts — normally where you are established.

2. Who can use PinkyPact

You must be at least 13 years old to use PinkyPact, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself.

3. What PinkyPact is — and is not

PinkyPact helps two people hold each other to a small number of promises. It is a tool for accountability between people who already trust each other. It is not a legal agreement service: a promise made in PinkyPact carries no legal force, creates no contract between you and the person you pair with, and we take no part in it.

PinkyPact is not a medical, financial, safety or emergency service. Do not rely on it for anything where a missed reminder would cause real harm.

4. Your content and your conduct

You keep ownership of the promises and text you put into PinkyPact. You grant us only the permission we need to store that content and show it to the person you are paired with, so the app can work.

You agree not to use PinkyPact to harass, threaten, coerce or control another person, to post unlawful content, to impersonate anyone, or to attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or remove an account that does any of this.

Decide whether you will moderate reported content, and how someone reports abuse. Apple requires a reporting mechanism for apps with user-generated content shown to other users.

5. Paid features

PinkyPact is free to start. Paid features, including PinkyPact Plus, are sold through the App Store. Prices are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings, not in the app.

Before you ship a subscription, Apple requires you to state: the title of the subscription, its length, the price per period, and links to these terms and the privacy policy — both on the purchase screen and here. Add refund handling too (refunds go through Apple).

6. Availability

We do our best to keep PinkyPact running and reminders arriving on time, but we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Push notification delivery depends on Apple and on your device settings, and is outside our control. We may change or discontinue features, and if we discontinue the service entirely we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using PinkyPact and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we are required to by law.

8. Disclaimers and liability

PinkyPact is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Add a liability cap (commonly: the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months, or a small fixed sum). Consumer law in the EU/UK limits how far you can exclude liability — worth one conversation with a lawyer before launch.

9. Apple

These terms are between you and PinkyPact, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
